Team Building Day with BP Pulse

We delivered a Green Team Event for BP Pulse and 41 of their employees who wanted a team building day, outdoors and with an environmental theme.

After morning refreshments and a briefing, the group split into their designated teams and participated in both our Race to Zero challenge and our mind teasing outdoor escape room EcoEscape.

Sustainability was focused on during our Race to Zero tasks with mini newspaper plant pots being created from old newspapers and spinach seeds being sown to grow in our polytunnel and Kitchen Garden at Stratford hospital.

Each team then constructed bug and bee hotels from wine crates, left over wood from our refurbishment, things they foraged in our nature reserve and recycled bottles, cardboard, wire mesh and other materials to make their masterpieces. Some very impressive manmade structures were created to provide a safe hideaway for wildlife which helped make use of unwanted waste and have a real purpose.

Lunch was served in the form of a BBQ thanks to Adam at The Lazy Pig and fun activities ensued at Gilly’s Disc Golf and back on site which were all met with a competitive spirit. The group also helped on the gardening side with a contribution to the creation of our butterfly bank.

We thank BP Pulse and it’s employees for their positive impact on the day and for bringing a fun and hard working attitude to each task and challenge. It was also great to work with a company making strives to power a greener future with their aim to have more electric vehicles on our roads with their electric vehicle charging points at hand for whatever part of the day.
