Apple Pressing with our Green Therapy Group

We had a lovely Green Therapy session on Friday juicing apples we had picked from a local orchard for our Harvest Share project. The surplus apples were used to reduce food waste and supply the group with a refreshing and healthy drink to take home in their new sustainable vacuum bottles that will help prevent the usage of single use plastic cups.

We thank A Good Thing UK for generously donating the bottles with the aim of sending less to landfill and more to a good cause.

We also offered the fruits of our labour to patients and visitors of Stratford-upon-Avon hospital who enjoyed the juice whilst we added more plants to the hospital planters.

“It was great to make use of the fruit to stop it going to waste and make something so lovely with it”

“I used to do apple pressing with my grandad so it was so nice to do it again and bring back good memories”

“This was my first Green Therapy session with the group and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to next week now”
