Our Garden Creations
Hospital Gardens
When someone imagines a hospital they likely don’t first think of gardens or nature, so we are trying to change this. Our main aims in creating hospital gardens are to improve wellbeing and build urban biodiversity. Hospital gardens can have an impact on the health and wellbeing of patients, staff and visitors as hospitals are often located in built up urban areas, so adding green spaces and giving nearby access to nature can really promote psychological well-being.
We are working closely with South Warwickshire Foundation Trust to create hospital gardens at Stratford-Upon-Avon, Leamington-Spa and Warwick.
Stratford-Upon-Avon hospital
At Stratford-Upon-Avon hospital we created and maintain the Garden of wellbeing, the Kitchen Garden and other green spaces in the vicinity.
Leamington-spa rehab hospital
At Leamington-Spa rehab hospital we created a garden for staff outside their Think Food Restaurant.
Warwick hospital
We created a garden at the Thomas Ward of Warwick hospital to offer a much needed green spaces to staff, patients and visitors.
Community Gardens
We have created community gardens to contribute to a greener, more sustainable environment and that provide a shared space where people can foster social connections and improve mental and physical health.
Bishopton Community Centre Secret Garden
We designed and created “The Secret Garden” as an accessible, low-maintenance area, perfect for up to 20 visitors at the community centre to use as an inviting outdoor meeting space.
Vegetable Gardens
By creating vegetable gardens in our local community, we have not only helped provide the opportunity for beneficiaries to grow fresh, nutritious produce but also establish a space to strengthen social bonds, promote physical well-being and enhance sustainability.
Tudor Grange Primary Academy Vegetable Garden
We transformed a corner of the school into a space that will bring joy, productivity and learning as well as tasty vegetables.
