Corporate volunteering - Action days

Bring your team to enjoy a meaningful day of action at a range of UK locations that meets your ESG goals and gives back to the local community. Discover how you can meet your environmental and social goals whilst building your team and getting outdoors from only £60 per person.

We tailor the activities according to the season, the number of people in your team and the projects we are working on at the time you plan to help out. All Corporate Volunteering activities are fully supervised and fully insured, with protective clothing supplied, along with risk assessments completed.

  • We are contracted with local NHS Trusts to deliver Action Days to save valuable NHS resource and time.

  • Your company pays for our expertise in helping to create a biodiverse wildlife gardens in community spaces and our 10 years experience in creating sustainable green spaces in community settings

  • We work on behalf of the client (hospital) in order to identify garden project that will have most impact to staff, patients and visitors.

  • We then liaise with the client to create a project plan to help fulfil their aims. We source plants, materials etc that are in season and that demonstrate succession of seasonal colour.

  • We organise pre-site visits and carry out a risk assessment.

  • We work with your company to understand what you want to get out of it to tailor a day for your CSR, ESG and volunteering objectives.

  • We send out joining instructions so that attendees know about location and activity.

  • The day before we travel to the venue to set up and get the day ready.

  • On the day we arrive early to get everything ready and manage activities so teams are working to their best potential and can enjoy giving back.

  • We take photography, create video content and get quotes to comprise a blog and social media posts to showcase your impact on the day. This way your CSR and ESG activity is recorded and can be shared.

  • Where to find the funds in your company: Our corporate partners source the funds from a variety of budget codes, which could include a charity donation, CSR or ESG budget, marketing, team building or training budgets

A word from our volunteers…

“I was looking for something to do, to get involved in something and get to know people locally. I really wanted to be a volunteer and help out with such a good cause”

- Ann Marie

“I volunteered because I was interested how Forest of Hearts were bringing together a diverse selection of the community, helping the planet, educating others about the environment and having access to nature right at the heart of the local community”

- Andrew

“On the days I volunteer, it feel like I’m going to see family because of the welcoming environment and feeling of belonging to a group. Volunteering and helping with the gardens has helped me with my mindfulness and staying calm”

- Charlie

“I started volunteering with Forest of Hearts because being involved with something meaningful, creative and that gave back to the local community and NHS was really important during a lockdown and the pandemic. I wanted to learn about new environments, expend my skills and meet people who wanted to help each other.”
