CSR Tree Planting Event with Quick Release
We spent a lovely afternoon at our nature reserve as we were joined by four enthusiastic team members from Quick Release, who swapped their desks and laptops for spades and gardening gloves to plant trees as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The team reached out to us with the idea of organising an event that would enable them to contribute to the environment while making a positive impact in the community and they chose our Plant and Go package.
With plenty of determination on the day, the volunteers got straight to it. In just a few hours, they planted an impressive 85 trees along the front stretch of the reserve and by the end, their efforts were plain to see.
A mixed hedgerow was planted featuring Hawthorn, Dogwood, and Rowan, creating a rich habitat that will support nesting birds, provide food for pollinators, and offer shelter for small mammals, significantly boosting biodiversity at the nature reserve.
We thank Quick Release for choosing our charity to support and for the wonderful team of four who joined us.
“We all had a great time and everyone remarked on how much of an impact we were having for the future rather than just a purely short-term benefit. Thank you to Forest of Hearts for arranging and leading such an engaging event”
