Corporate volunteering day with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners

We were joined by 8 Coca-Cola Europacific Partners employees for a corporate volunteer day at Warwick hospital to help us create the beginnings of a garden area for staff, patients and visitors.

After a day of transporting materials and equipment and a day on site planning the operation, we were ready to welcome our volunteers on the third day to help us kick start the creation of the garden.

Firstly we laid down the accessible pathway and positioned the planters ready to be filled with 3 tonnes of topsoil then began planting them up with an array of pollinator friendly plants to bring colour, vibrancy and to increase the biodiversity of the area.

Another task included sanding down and painting memorial and picnic benches to refurbish them before positioning all the furniture in place to offer seating areas that encourages socialising and relaxation.

After potting up our towering Ivies from our Hedera Helix collection and all other activities were completed, we finished off the day by watering all the plants we had given a new home.

We give thanks for all the volunteer’s hard work and dedication to the cause on the day and for the generous donation which will go a long way towards our environmental, horticultural and wellbeing projects.

All CCEP employees have two paid days of volunteering time each year and we were delighted they chose our project to give their time towards after signing up through Neighbourly

Their CCEP profile states “We’re determined to make a positive difference in society and encourage all of our staff to get involved in community initiatives, local charities and volunteering”
