Corporate Tree Planting Day with Waterstons & Navigator Terminals
We enjoyed a great day planting trees and creating living walls with employees from Waterstons and Navigator Terminals as part of their social responsibility to help others and make a difference.
The group of 6 did a fantastic job planting 300 Hawthorn trees at our nature reserve to complete the hedgerow along the outer edge of our Field of Life.
Not only will this make an attractive native hedge but it will have many benefits as Hawthorn is a rich habitat for all kinds of wildlife and has a great ability to sequester carbon.
After their brilliant tree planting efforts and a bit of lunch, they constructed and planted up living wall planters which we installed at the garden we are creating for NHS staff at Royal Leamington Spa Rehabilitation Hospital.
We give thanks to the group for all their hard work and good humour on the day and for supporting our work to create green spaces, boost biodiversity and improve wellbeing. We look forward to welcoming them back again in November.
