Be Part of Research

We’re delighted to announce that we are championing a new Be Part of Research project, made possible thanks to funding from Warwickshire CAVA on behalf of health organisations. This initiative opens the door for our community to connect with vital health and care research across the UK, helping improve lives and shape the future of wellbeing.

At Forest of Hearts, we believe in the power of collaboration to create healthier, more resilient communities. Through Warwickshire CAVA’s support, we’re joining forces with other organisations to promote Be Part of Research - a free service run by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and to survey individuals to explore views about health and care research which will improve lives.

This platform makes it simple for anyone to explore and take part in health and social care studies. Whether you’re curious about research into mental health, nutrition, heart disease, or countless other areas, Be Part of Research helps match you with opportunities that matter to you.

What It Means to ‘Be Part of Research’

Being part of research is about more than signing up for a study, it’s about contributing to discoveries that improve patient care, shape future treatments and find better ways to manage health conditions. Here’s what it entails:

Accessibility: The service is open to everyone across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

Choice: You can search by health condition or area of interest, and decide which studies feel right for you.

Transparency: Each study explains what to expect, how consent works, and the role participants play.

Impact: Every volunteer helps researchers answer important questions, leading to better therapies, services, and support for communities.

How You Can Get Involved

Firstly, please take a few minutes to complete a short anonymous survey so we can identify and learn more about barriers or concerns that people within our community have with regards to health and care research.
