Volunteering Day with Cadent Gas' Finance Team

We had the pleasure of being joined once again by the Cadent Gas finance team for their forth volunteering day with us. Cadent Gas employees receive two paid volunteering days per financial year to volunteer for good causes which align to the three themes of their social impact framework of making life easier, fairer and greener.

So we were more than happy to welcome back the hard working group to Stratford-upon-Avon hospital where they completed both indoor and outdoor tasks to help us make progress on both our garden and our marketing.

The outdoor team braved the initial rain showers and helped safely remove the plants from the raised beds in our clock garden in readiness to be relocated to the new garden area at the back of the hospital.

The indoor team helped us brainstorm ideas to better market our services and created a video to showcase volunteering days with Forest of Hearts.

We thank them for all their efforts on the day and for helping to make a positive impact to the beginnings of the garden we are creating for NHS staff and patients to offer a place of respite, relaxation and recovery.

A word from the Cadent volunteers:

“We’ve volunteered with Forest of Hearts before and we were eager to come back and help the charity again with the wonderful work they do to improve the environment and mental health”

“With our work being predominantly office based and working from home, it was nice to get outdoors and do something to give back again”
