Donate to Create Gardens of Wellbeing in Stratford upon Avon

We are running a donation campaign (running until 20th September 2023) to help us create 3 Gardens of Wellbeing which will be based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. Our plan is to raise enough money to create these places of purpose at our nature reserve in Pathlow, Stratford Train Station and Bishopton Community Centre to improve wellbeing and build biodiversity to help nature thrive.

As well as the garden creations, we are raising funds to run weekly horticultural therapy sessions at the gardens to give members of the local community the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills, meet new people and improve their mental health.

Every donation will make such a positive different to people, places and the planet and the Aviva Community Fund have agreed to match donations up to £250, further multiplying your generosity.

The Field of Life:

Donations will help us plant trees to create the beginnings of a forest area which will help absorb CO2 and provide a rich protected habitat for wildlife. Funds will also help to plant a magnificent wildflower meadow of over 20,000 square metres to provide pollen and nectar for bees and other pollinators as well as finishing the creation of a Butterfly bank to attract species of butterfly as part of a biodiversity action plan for Warwickshire.

Stratford-upon-Avon Train Station:

We want to create a picturesque space bursting with colour and greenery making it a lovely welcome to the town being the first thing commuters will see. Donations will help with the growing and seasonal replenishment of plants at the station and the creation of an accessible pollinator friendly garden on the Station Approach with raised beds.

Bishopton Community Centre Secret Garden:

Funding will help extend the garden area at the Community Centre to create an accessible low maintenance garden area for visitors to use as an outdoor meeting space. We plan for it to include a seating area with retained trees and wildflower planting, accessible paths with retaining walls/raised beds with water butts and raised planters. In short, a beautiful, biodiverse habitat to relax in and enjoy.
