We Created a Garden Outside the New Stratford Hospital Community Diagnostic Building

Another New Hospital Garden Blooms

We’re delighted to unveil a vibrant new garden space we recently created outside the newly built Community Diagnostic Building at Stratford-upon-Avon Hospital. Designed to complement the new facility, this garden brings a welcome splash of colour, greenery, and natural beauty to the hospital grounds and for all who pass through.

Crafted with sustainability in mind, the garden features recycled black planters filled with a diverse mix of plants chosen to offer year-round interest, texture, and visual appeal. From flowering varieties to lush foliage, each planter adds its own character to the space.

To complete the transformation, we’ve added a decorative gravel finish that ties the space together with a clean, cohesive look. It’s a simple touch that enhances the garden’s accessibility and visual appeal, inviting patients, staff, and visitors to pause and enjoy a moment of nature.

Maintained with Care by Our Green Therapy Group

This new addition forms part of the hospital’s growing network of green spaces we have created, all of which are maintained by our dedicated Green Therapy group. During regular community sessions, volunteers and participants help care for the gardens by nurturing the plants, keeping the spaces tidy and enjoying the wellbeing benefits of time spent outdoors.

We’re proud to have created a space that not only enhances the hospital’s landscape but also supports healing, relaxation, and community engagement. A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this garden to life! Special mentions go to SWFT Clinical Services Ltd, Stratford Town Trust, Stratford-upon-Avon BID and all of our community volunteers.

“Forest of Hearts have done such an amazing job at the hospital creating green spaces across the site for all of us staff to use. Their Garden of Wellbeing, pots, planters and raised beds full of plants, hedgerow planting and seating areas have transformed the outdoor areas of the hospital and brought nature to us. We love seeing them and their volunteers working their magic. This particular garden makes a real difference to the atmosphere and is so visually pleasing”

“The garden area is such a lovely addition to the building. It brings a sense of calm and beauty to the space, and I genuinely look forward to seeing it each day as I walk through the hospital”
