Tree Planting with Confex Ltd
Our corporate and community events venue ‘The Hideaway’ welcomed nine employees from Confex Ltd who swapped their home offices for the wintery (but surprisingly sunny) Warwickshire countryside to plant trees with us.
With their team working from home and only meeting online recently, they were looking for an opportunity to get together in the outdoors and do something that gives back as part of their corporate social responsibility to foster a positive social and environmental impact.
The energetic and determined team (fuelled by coffee and pastries) set the challenge of planting as many trees as they could in two hours, so they dug deep and managed to plant 160 trees including fruit trees in the orchard, Field Maple in the opening of the woodland and Hawthorn saplings along the outer edge of the field to create a hedgerow habitat for wildlife.
After their tree planting heroics, we enjoyed lunch and learned more about each others sustainable practices.

As there’s always more to be done to help the environment, Confex have funded our Green Therapy group to plant the remainder of the trees in their honour. We thank them for their fantastic effort on the day and for their wonderful support.
