Our Green Therapy Programme Wins Big at WCAVA Awards!
We’re absolutely thrilled to share news that our Green Therapy programme has won three awards at the WCAVA South Warwickshire Volunteer Recognition and Rewards Event! Being nominated was an honour in itself, but to be presented with multiple awards in recognition of our work across Stratford Hospital, Bishopton Community Centre, Shakespeare Hospice, and Stratford Station is a moment we’ll treasure.
What Is Green Therapy?
Our Green Therapy programme is all about harnessing the healing power of nature to support mental health, wellbeing, and community connection. Through hands-on gardening, creative outdoor activities, and shared learning, participants build confidence, develop employability skills, and contribute meaningfully to their local environment.
Each session is more than just time spent outdoors, it’s a chance to grow, connect, and make a difference. Whether planting pollinator-friendly flowers, maintaining raised beds, or simply enjoying the peace of a green space, our Green Therapy groups are a testament to the transformative impact of nature-based engagement.
A Celebration of Community and Commitment
Winning these awards is a reflection of the incredible dedication shown by everyone involved in the programme. From our passionate group facilitators to the volunteers who give their time and energy, and the participants who bring life, laughter, and purpose to every session. This recognition belongs to all of you.
Your commitment to creating nature-positive spaces and supporting one another has made a lasting impact across South Warwickshire. These awards shine a light on the quiet, powerful work happening every week in gardens, community centres, and hospital grounds.
Thank You
To everyone who’s been part of our Green Therapy journey, thank you. Whether you’ve helped sow seeds, led a workshop, shared a story, or simply turned up with an open heart, you’ve helped build something truly special.
We’re proud, we’re grateful, and we’re more inspired than ever to keep growing together.
