CSR with BAM volunteers create rooms with a view!
With help, hard work and the generosity of the team of apprentices and staff from BAM Construction led by Phil Eves we now have two new covered areas for staff at Stratford upon Avon Hospital to sit out and enjoy the lovely garden. Our volunteers can also make use of this flexible education space to learn new skills and enjoy the biodiversity.
We thank the team who designed and installed the two gazebos in under a week and give special thanks to Niamh Southwell, Felicity Ivory, Emma Tombs, Jessica Chapman, Hes Bradley, Mark Drummond, Tom Donnison, Jon Knight, Babar Khan Raja. The collective effort over the week added up to a total of 140 hours of volunteered time. Over 300 staff will be able to make use of the outdoor space, which is currently in full bloom. Thanks also to Steve and BAM Site Solutions for the loan of the scaffolding. This excellent example of social value demonstrates BAM’s commitment to the local community, local organisations, training apprentices, giving back and making a real difference! Thanks to Chris Grennan for choosing our project to benefit from all your support and for helping the Forest of Hearts team to acquire skills in setting out and carpentry!
