3 Peaks challenge begins
And we’re off….
(As the virtual street view above shows) We’ve made our first steps towards our virtual 1,020km journey from Ben Nevis in Scotland back to Stratford-Upon-Avon, stopping at Scaffel Pike and Mount Snowden along the way. Thanks to Magic Little Grants, this project has been made possible by a grant from Localgiving and Postcode Community Trust, a grant-giving charity funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Some participants have started by opting to take walks in the local woodlands to count their miles and immerse themselves in nature, others have chosen to cycle along the Greenway and beautiful surrounding villages and many have been running around the picturesque areas of Stratford-Upon-Avon.
For those who don’t know, we are doing this challenge to raise money to pay for disabled access pathways which will be installed at Stratford-Upon-Avon hospital kitchen garden to make it accessible for all NHS workers, patients and volunteers.
