Grow Now is an innovative programme which provide opportunities to grow skills, knowledge, contacts and confidence whilst helping to create the Garden of Wellbeing at Stratford upon Avon Hospital. the project is funded by the European Social Fund and the Education and Skills Funding Agency, and supported by the Local Enterprise Partnership.

The programme is tailored to the needs of the participants and comprises a flexible range of opportunities including:

a. Volunteering and work placement opportunities at a range of projects

b. Purposeful activities at the Garden of Wellbeing at Stratford upon Avon Hospital other gardens

c. Skills training leading to a recognised qualification following a structured needs assessment and induction

d. 1-1 coaching and support to increase confidence and motivation

e. Social events and networking events with other local community groups

f. Advice and Guidance on routes to self employment/employment and progression onto other learning opportunities

Each participant will attend a mix of on job and off job training involving gardening, customer service and inputs on setting up and running a business. Each participant will also have monthly 1-1 coaching sessions in order to create and review a personal development plan. There will be a monthly networking lunch for the group to get together in order to share skills, success and experience. The Forest of Hearts aims to provide part time paid employment and freelance contract opportunities for successful participants. The participants will be able to gain a relevant qualification.

ESF Community Grants provide grants to small organisations in the voluntary and community sector to provide support to unemployed & inactive individuals to engage them and move them towards employment through packages of training and support.
